The Group holds a planning meeting at the beginning of each year followed by field meetings during the year, most of which will relate to specific projects currently in progress. Previous meetings have included visits to Leavening and Acklam villages, Sheriff Hutton Castle, Hildenley Quarry, Slingsby village, Settrington House and village, Nunnington Hall, Duncombe Park, Hovingham Hall and source quarries, Crayke Castle, and a number of churches. A buildings recording conference based in Malton was held jointly in May 2004 with the Yorkshire Vernacular Buildings Study Group.
All meetings are open to all members.
Meetings are subject to local weather and road conditions and members should use their judgement before attending.
